Nanette Jones

Nanette Jones has an M.A. in Elementary Education and M.A. endorsement in Gifted & Talented (GT), focusing on gifted education and twice-exceptionality. She is a veteran teacher of over 33 years from Aurora Public Schools, where she spent most of her career as a GT Teacher and was the Gifted Facilitator at a gifted magnet school, Aurora Quest K-8.

After retiring from teaching, Nanette worked as a Twice Exceptional (2e) Consultant for Colorado Department of Education, and is currently the Executive Director of the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT), a member of NAGC (National Association for Gifted Children), and was inducted into the Colorado Academy of Educators for the Gifted, Talented, and Creative and serves on their board as the Event Co-Governor.

She also works for a math consulting company, 2Partner, and facilitates math curriculum trainings for teachers in various districts in Colorado. Nanette has been a presenter at conferences across the country including CAGT, Beyond Giftedness, NAGC, and the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children.

Aysia Nealey

Aysia grew up in Denver, Colorado. She is a therapist and yoga teacher, and she cares deeply about my community. When she’s not working, you can find her hiking, doing yoga, spending time with family and friends and watching cartoons.

Valerie Scott

Valerie was born and raised in Longmont, Colorado. She has established her career in public sector procurement for the past 14 years, working in higher education and municipal government. She volunteers in many capacities with both her regional and national professional associations. She also volunteers at her church and serves on the board for the Safe Shelter. She grew up studying many styles of dance, performing and competing with her studio company. After high school, she joined her college poms team for 3 years. Her final year of college, she was selected as a Denver Broncos Cheerleader and was a team member from 2007-2010. She taught ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical for many years. She enjoys practicing yoga now, and feels most authentic when she is moving.

Dr. Roechelle Smith

Dr. Roechelle Smith is a chiropractor, wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoys working out, helping others work things out (community involvement), and keeping life positive!

Sandy Thomas

Sandy is organized and enjoys working with kids and the community. Her positive energy allows her the ability to work with people in a fun and professional manner.
